Camilla Rodriguez Guzman

MSW / LSYWC Intern

Camilla is a dual degree student at the University of Denver working towards a Bachelor of Arts in political science and criminology and a Master of Social Work degree. She is interested in going to law school afterward and focusing on criminal law. As a first-generation student, Camilla observes many of the economic inequalities her community faces. Camilla is a native Spanish speaker and is eager to contribute to the mission of Towards Justice and work to create a positive impact in families like hers.

At the University of Denver, Camilla has been involved with mock trial and has served as a mentor for incoming first-generation freshmen. Outside of school, she has held various internships, including with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, CLLARO, TRIO Upward Bound, and the Latino Leadership Institute. Camilla is also part of the Law School Yes We Can program, a mentorship program to guide her towards law school.

Outside of work and school, Camilla enjoys drinking boba and reading poetry.
