Towards Justice is a nonprofit legal organization that defends workers and their rights through impact litigation and policy advocacy in our home state of Colorado and across the country.

We use impact litigation, policy advocacy, and collaboration with workers and workers' organizations to build worker power and advance economic justice.

Every day, workers are exploited for the profits of others, very often forced to work under abusive, cruel, or unsafe situations with consequences that carry into their communities and beyond. Too often, the law is stacked against those seeking to combat injustice.

That’s where Towards Justice comes in.

We take on the cases private firms can’t and fight for workers others won’t, supporting workers in pursuing legal strategies to effect widespread change. Our goal is to defend workers and their rights through both litigation and policy advocacy —and to come up with pathways for others to do the same nationwide. Our focus is always on achieving economic justice in the workplace and rectifying the imbalance of power between workers and corporations.

We envision a country where every worker has the dignity of fair compensation, freedom from discrimination, a safe workplace, on-time pay, and the power and voice to effectively demand those basic rights.
